Rocky Mountain Bank Fights Breast Cancer Through Pink Ribbon Debit Card
Donation provides mammograms through Billings Clinic's Women's Wellness program

The local fight against breast cancer got a big boost today. Rocky Mountain Bank announced the donation of $5,000 to Billings Clinic Foundation from 2012 Pink Ribbon Debit Card transactions and fundraisers.

Billings Clinic Foundation will use the donated money to help women pay for mammograms or early-detection screenings who otherwise couldn't afford them. Billings Clinic's Women's Wellness program provides health screenings, including mammograms for women who are underinsured or without insurance. Since early detection is vital in the fight against cancer, mammograms and early-detection screenings are extremely important to women who may be at risk for breast cancer.

Rocky Mountain Bank's Pink Ribbon Debit Card program, which began in May of 2012, has helped raise thousands of dollars locally towards the fight against breast cancer.

Each time a customer swipes their Pink Ribbon Debit Card to make a purchase, the bank makes a 2.5-cent contribution to Billings Clinic Foundation's breast cancer efforts. The Pink Ribbon Debit Card is free and available with all Rocky Mountain Bank personal checking accounts. In 2012, 2,062 individuals across the state got the card and have "taken swipes against breast cancer."

The Pink Ribbon Debit Card supports local programs that help with the detection of breast cancer. In addition to the donation to Billings Clinic Foundation, Rocky Mountain Bank has supported Kalispell Regional Healthcare Foundation with a $5,000 donation.,

Rocky Mountain Bank's parent company, Heartland Financial, has implemented the Pink Ribbon Debit Card program in many of its banks across the United States. Together, their Pink Ribbon program has helped raise nearly $27,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
