Starting at midnight on December 31st, KSVI and KHMT may no longer be available on Cable Montana. That means you could lose access to your ABC and Fox programming.

In order for KSVI and KHMT to be delivered to your home, we negotiate agreements for the rights to carry our stations with video service providers like Cable Montana. KSVI and KHMT have agreements in place with all of the major video providers in our area. In fact, we have never had a service disruption with a major distributor who was carrying out channel before.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to reach an agreement with Cable Montana for its continued carriage of KSVI and KHMT - even though terms being offered are similar to those which allowed us to reach a deal with many other service providers in our area. If a deal is not reached by midnight on December 31, Cable Montana subscribers will lose access to KSVI and KHMT.

Q: Why have we not reached an agreement with Cable Montana?

A: We cannot speak for Cable Montana. But here is what our viewers should know: KSVI and KHMT are committed to reaching fair, market-based agreements with all the video service providers in our area. Our track record proves it. We have never had a service disruption with a major distributor. The terms we are discussing with Cable Montana are along the same lines as those which allowed us to reach a deal with other service providers.

Q: If KSVI and KHMT are off the Cable Montana programming lineup, what can I do to avoid missing my favorite FOX and ABC programs?

A: The good news is that you have choices. First, KSVI and KHMT are available on other video service providers in our area including DISH Network (call 1-888-882-DISH), DirecTV (call 1-800-370-3587) and Bresnan/Cablevision. And you can always get KSVI and KHMT free over-the-air.

Over-the-Air Access

To access KSVI and KHMT free, over-the-air, you will need to purchase an antenna that is suitable for your location. Q: Why am I losing access to a channel that I'm paying for just because two companies can't reach a deal?

That is why we are working hard to reach a fair, market-based deal with Cable Montana based on similar terms to the deals we have with the other providers in our area.
