Merle Haggard to headline Red Ants Pants Music Festival, July 25th-28th, 2013
Rolling Stone called Merle
Haggard "one of country music's most gifted and prolific songwriters". He has
40 Number One country hits, made the top 100 Greatest Singers list, and is in
the Country Music Hall of Fame. This year, he will headline the Red Ants Pants
Music Festival, July 25-28th, 2013 in White Sulphur Springs. Last year's
headliners, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, and Mary Chapin Carpenter attracted 8,800
concert-goers.
"We're gearing up for another fun festival and I
can't wait for Merle to come perform. There isn't anyone in rural Montana who
hasn't heard of Merle Haggard. He's influenced an entire generation of
musicians and played everything from honkey-tonk to bluegrass, and seeing him in
a rural cow pasture surrounded by the Big Belt Mountains will make for an
awesome event".
Proceeds from the concert benefit the Red Ants Pants
Foundation, a nonprofit organization in support of women's leadership, working
farms and ranches, and rural communities. The festival, which is in its third
year, is organized by the Red Ants Pants Foundation, in conjunction with Red
Ants Pants, a company based in White Sulphur Springs dedicated to making
workwear for women.

* Early-bird tickets are
$99 for a weekend pass and are available March 1st through 31sr. (quantities are
limited and only available online). After March 31st, 3-day tickets will be
$115 in advance, $130 at the gate. One-day passes are $45 in advance and $50 at
the gate. Camping for the weekend is $15 per person.
* Submissions for
2013 poster artwork submissions are due by March 15th. Check out the website
for more information. Winner will receive 6 weekend passes.
